Workflows

Turn repeatable work
into a clear sequence.

Connect the steps, handoffs, and approvals behind recurring tasks. See where work stands and what needs to happen next.

People are first class steps

A human step is a step, not an exception the system routes around when nobody answers.

Resumable

A workflow that stopped at step four resumes at step four, with everything the first three produced.

Traced end to end

One trace across the whole sequence, including the waiting, so you can see where time actually goes.

Cost per run, not per step

You see what the whole sequence cost, which is the number you can actually make a decision with.

How it works.

01

Define the sequence

The steps that must happen in order, and which of them a person owns.

02

Seats do the steps

Each step is handled by the seat scoped for it, so a workflow is a route through your team rather than a separate engine.

03

It waits properly

A step that needs a person waits for that person. It does not time out and guess.

Scope and boundaries
  • We will push back on turning a judgement call into a flowchart. Most attempts to do that produce something worse than the seat.
  • Workflows do not run faster than the slowest human step in them.
  • This is not a general integration platform. If you want to move data between two systems and nothing else, use an integration tool.
